A few moments before I sat down to read for you, I was scrolling through Tiktok as I waited for the kettle to boil, and I came across a video clip that I have seen many times, and feels relevant to the message for you today.

When Snoop Dogg received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame, he gave a speech that he later sampled in his song “I Wanna Thank Me”, transcribed in the lyrics thusly:

I think about this speech often, and couldn’t help but hear it in my mind when I saw the Maker of Seeds smiling up at me from my desk. You hold so much wisdom, my love, so many gifts. Even if it doesn’t always feel like it, you know how to use them. You can provide a bounty for yourself and give generously to others, but you need to believe. You need to thank yourself and celebrate yourself. You need to be you at all times.
